Ultimate Futbol League (UFL) Regular Season and Playoff Format

UFL Regular Season
- Each of the 10 UFL teams will play 18 matches in the UFL Regular Season.
- At the end of the regular season, the top 6 teams will qualify for the UFL Playoffs.
UFL Playoffs
- The top 6 teams qualify to the next round for Playoffs.
- 1st and 2nd place qualify directly to Semifinals.
- 3rd through 6th place face in a one-game playoff to earn a spot in Semifinals: 3rd vs 6th and 4th vs 5th.
- Semifinals and Final are one-game matches.
Point System
Clubs receive three points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a loss.
Tie-Break Procedures
In the event that two or more teams finish the regular season with an equal number of points, the following tiebreakers will be used:
- Head-to-head win.
- Total number of wins.
- Goal Differential (GD).
- Goals For (GF).
- Fewest Disciplinary Points per match.
- Coin toss for two clubs or drawing of lots for three or more clubs.
In UFL Playoffs, if a match is tied at the final whistle, both teams go directly to penalties, except in the Final. In the Final, teams play two 15-minute halves of extra time before penalties if needed.

Structure
- Knockout tournament.
- The first 8 teams after both legs of the regular season qualify to the Super Cup.
Quarterfinals and Semifinals
- Each matchup consists of two legs: home and away.
- The team with the most aggregate goals advances to the next round.
- If the aggregate score is tied, the winner is determined by penalties.
Final
- The 2 winners from the Semifinals face off in a one-game Final.
- If the final is tied, the winner is determined by extra time and then penalties.
Match Rules
Game Operations
Team Benches
- Both the home team and visiting team may have as many individuals as wished on their respective club benches.
- Both teams must have a designated coach. Player-coaches will not be accepted on the benches.
- Suspended players and/or coaches cannot be in the bench area.
Match Postponement
- Matches may be postponed when circumstances exist that pose a threat to the safety of participants or spectators.
- Postponed matches will be scheduled during the week before the next matchday weekend or during a weekend where field availability allows.
Player Substitutions
- Each team is allowed a total of 8 substitution cards per match.
- Substitution cards can be used across different windows; in each window, a team may substitute as many players as they wish.
- Water breaks and halftime count as free windows and may be used to make substitutions without using a substitution card.
- Players are allowed to re-enter the match multiple times.
Conduct
UFL Code of Conduct
- Physical aggression or attempting to assault a referee and/or player: suspension for 5–10 weeks of all leagues organized by the company and a fine, subject to the referee report.
- Spitting at an opponent or any other person: tournament suspension for 10 weeks and a $100 fine.
- Attempted aggression to a player: 2–5 games, subject to the referee report.
- Offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures toward a referee: 2 games and a fine, subject to the referee report.
- Offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures toward a player: 1–3 games and a fine, subject to the referee report.
- Violent conduct, mutual aggression, or serious foul play may result in suspension and fines.
- Second caution in the same match: 1 game, no fine.
- Unsportsmanlike behavior may result in a suspension between 1–5 games and a fine according to the gravity of the action.
- Racist expressions: 3 games.
- Repeated infringements: suspension and fine may be doubled.
- Fraud, including playing while suspended or under another name: additional 3-game suspension and $30 fine.
